Headache Pain Relief & Migraine Therapy

Headaches and migraines remain one of the most debilitating conditions in our country, and makes the top 3 list of conditions treated in our clinic at Revolution Rehabilitation.

But it's not ALL in your head. A condition called cervicogenic headaches may be the culprit and are distinguished from other classic headache conditions because the pain actually originates from dysfunctional structures in your neck.

This referred pain means that although the source of pain is in the cervical spine, the sensation of pain is referred in the head and you feel it as a headache.

Common Causes of Headaches and Migraines
  • Whiplash
  • Trauma
  • Prolonged neck flexion
  • Static and or prolonged poor or slouched postures
  • Repeated or extended overhead positions, ie: painting, reading with bifocals,
  • Other activities and sports that involve impact to the head or neck.

HOW TO GET MIGRAIN PAIN RELIEF:
At Rev Rehabilitation our goal is to balance, unload and align structures and promote favorable postures. We address movement imbalances created by flexibility and strength deficits, as well as mechanical, structural and postural dysfunctions.

Our goal at Revolution Rehabilitation is to identify and address the causative factors and empower you with a vast array of tools to manage and prevent your particular condition. Your treatment may include manual therapy techniques, ergonomic modifications at home and work, and/or dry needling.

Dry Needling has become the number one tool we implement at an initial migraine session, but we will assess your symptoms and movement patterns to determine which techniques will be the most effective for you.

For more information call or email to schedule an appointment at one of our locations.
